Here is our daily schedule of events for Feb 7 - Feb 14, 2008:
- 3:50am -- Bhajans to the Goddess and Arati
- 4:30am -- Individual pujas and homas
- 9:00am -- Yogasanas with Swamiji
- 10:00am -- Group Chandi Homa
- AM - PM -- Throughout the day and night there will be Navarna Mantra chanted at the fire....add your japa to it!
- 6:15pm -- Arati followed by pujas and homas -- Stay tuned!

Serves 6
Ingredients
- 1 Tbsp 5 spices (Pancha Puran) or 1/2 tsp each of cumin seeds, fennel seeds, black mustard seeds, kalonji, and fenugreek seeds
- 1 tsp. coriander powder
- 1 tsp cumin powder
- 1 tsp. tumeric powder
- 1/4 tsp. hing (asafetida powder)
- 3 Tbsp. ghee
- 2 tsp. salt
- 1/2 cabbage, shredded 1/2 " thick
- 1 sweet potato, peeled and cut into 3 inch pieces
- 1 cup string beans, cut into 3 inch pieces
- 1/2 daikon (one of Kali's favorites) cut into 3 inch pieces
- 2 medium potatoes, peeled and cut into 3 inch pieces
- 1 Green chilli, minced
- 1 Tbsp ginger, grated
- 3 Tbsp. fresh cilantro, chopped
- 2/3 cup water
Steps
- Melt ghee
- Add the whole spices first.
- When they crackle, add powdered spices, ginger and chilli.
- Add daikon.
- When soft, add pumpkin and potato
- Pour in the water.
- When soft, but not fully cooked, add beans and shortly thereafter, cabbage.
- Cover pot and turn heat to low.
- Stir occasionally.
- Turn off het before cabbage is too soft.
- Add cilantro, stir it in and shut the lid.
This dish cooks quite quickly so it is best to have all ingredients ready before starting.
