Lalita is another name for the Divine Mother. It means Beautiful, Playful and Beloverd. Her name also means She who resides in the lalat, or the third eye of the forehead, in the Ajna Cakra, or summit of existence.
The Lalitha Trisati Stotram, is a definition of the Sri Vidya, an explanation of the Sri Cakra Yantra, and exposition of three hundred names of the Divine Mother, indicative of three hundred divine attributes which seekers can strive to emulate.
