SHIVA PUJA AND ADVANCED YAJNA
Conceive in your mind the ultimate goodness and when you have your picture of perfect goodness, infinite goodness, then make it better. That is the beginning of the understanding of Siva. In this Puja we place Siva in our hearts, place ourselves in the presence of Siva, and then strive to come closer to this Highest Goodness, the Highest Divine Spirit. When we get to where we can't get any closer, that is when the puja begins. Siva is beyond limitations. He takes us beyond the mind.
This advanced puja contains a great deal of information. It is possible that an advanced student could remain engaged in its study for several years. You are not required to learn this whole puja immediately. You can take bits and pieces of this and put them to work. This book includes a beginers puja, an intermediate puja, an advanced puja and a postdoc section. So there is more than ample material to keep you engrossed in the worship of god. Hear and read the pujas and the translations. Some mantras will call to you, something will touch your heart and illuminate an inspiration, and that is where you can begin.
