One of the easiest ways to get used to chanting Sanskrit is to begin with one of the Gods' 1000 names

2) Chant the Mahalakshmi Ashtakam
It is beneficial to pray to Lakshmi especially on Fridays and especially on Bhadrapad. Hear Shree Maa sing this text here
