Food Sponsorship: Devi Mandir Food Program

Devi Mandir Food Program Mission Statement

shree-maa-cookingAt the Devi Mandir, it is our mission to offer food every weekend — three nutritious meals a day, which is approximately 200 meals in total every weekend.

This equates to over 10,000 meals a year at an approximate cost of $50,000 annually and the participation of over 50 volunteers.

We operate through the Temple of the Divine Mother non-profit and the costs and budget for the Food Program are kept separate from the other charitable programs at the temple.

Devi Mandir is a 501c(3) Non-Profit organization. IRS tax exemption number 68-0065591. We are listed as the Temple of the Divine Mother, Inc.

Our Success

This Food Offering Program has been executed since the inception of the Devi Mandir in 1996. For close to 20 years we have offered free food on the weekends to those visiting the Temple. This has been accomplished through the hard work of numerous volunteers as well as loving monetary and in-kind offerings from donators.

The Devi Mandir Family has offered sanctified nutritious meals, so that the recipients get maximum nutrition and benefit from the food eaten. We offer food to everyone who visits, from all walks of life, without discrimination as to race, color, religion, or sexual orientation.

Help Keep the Program Expanding: Donate Now

As our congregation grows, more and more devotees from all over the world flock to the temple. Not only are we increasing the number of local people visiting on the weekends, but also when people come from out of town they typically stay from one to four weeks at a time. Of course, during those times we expand from the weekend food offering to every day of the week.
